AI-NURECC PLUS is a preparatory action financed by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO), and coordinated by the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), in partnership with our partners in the region – the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion (AIE), FAIC Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Cities, the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce, and UniAdrion – Universities of the Adriatic-Ionian region.
The partners of the Initiative have joined their efforts to support the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Sea Region (EUSAIR) implementation, ensuring deep and broad territorial coverage while enhancing Regional and Local Authorities’ appropriation of the EUSAIR main objectives and opportunities, with a focus on Sustainable Tourism, Cultural & Creative Industries, Circular Economy, and Youth.
The youth-led event of the AIYN will be organised in the form of the “Networking Talks” during which representatives of youth organisations in 10 EUSAIR countries will discuss how to contribute to the EUSAIR-related youth engagement actions undertaken at EU institutional level as well as by EUSAIR governments and technical structures.
The event will take step from both the V Adriatic Ionian Youth Organisations Forum (AIYOF5), held by the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion (AIE) and the AIYN on 25 May 2023, during the 8th Annual EUSAIR Forum in Sarajevo, and from the Conference “Adriatic Ionian Region is You(th)!”, held in Split on 15-16 November 2023, as part of the EUSAIR/AII Croatian Presidency.
Within the framework of the AI-NUREC PLUS Final Conference, the AIE, supported by all project partners, is organising the Networking Talks to create yet another occasion for the AIYN to meet EUSAIR decision-makers and, together, pave the way for a stronger collaboration within the process of the creation of a EUSAIR Youth Council. The event will be led by the representatives of the Network and will encompass thematic working groups to foresee potential interesting topics for future joint cooperation.
