17 April 2023, Brussels. The President of the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion, Nikola Dobroslavic and the AIE Secretary General, Francesco Cocco, join to the conference “Living in Border Regions – Tackling the challenges” at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels.

The EGTC Platform at the CoR (AEBR, MOT and CESCI) created the European Cross-Border Citizen’s Alliance during the worst of the pandemic. They meet in Brussels during this conference in order to discuss  life in border areas since, despite decades of European integration, legal and administrative obstacles in border areas continue to exist, and new ones are created.

As Cor Member, Mr. Dobroslavic was one of the speakers involved in the panel debate “What can the European Union and its Member States do to make life in border regions easier?”. He underlined the need to implement new and effective measures for limit legal and administrative obstacles in border areas. He also agreed with the solutions proposed by other speakers, among them Mr. Sandro Gozi, as Member of the European Parliament.
